Dr. Stephanie Beinlich, a native of Marquette, Michigan, is a distinguished soprano and passionate educator. With a Master\u2019s and Doctoral degree in Vocal Performance from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Western Michigan University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her students.<\/p>\n

Dr. Beinlich’s career spans numerous prestigious roles, including Assistant Professor of Voice and Vocal Area Coordinator at Eastern New Mexico University. Her dedication to the promotion of female composers and her expertise in French-language art songs make her an inspiring mentor for aspiring vocalists. Beyond academia, she has an active private studio, serves in various leadership roles within the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and works as a music director.<\/p>\n

Dr. Stephanie Beinlich, a native of Marquette, Michigan, is a versatile soprano and educator who recently returned to the Upper Peninsula. Dr. Beinlich is a French-language art song enthusiast and her academic interests lie largely in the study and promotion of female composers, including C\u00e9cile Chaminade, Clara Schumann, Poldowski, and Josephine Lang. A frequent recitalist and concert soloist, some of Dr. Beinlich\u2019s recent solo performances include Carmina Burana (Orff), Messiah (Handel), Miserere (Allegri), Passion and Resurrection (E\u0161envalds), Salve Regina (Schubert), Der Hirt auf den Felsen (Schubert), Requiem Mass (Mozart), Requiem (Rutter), Christmas Oratorio (Saint-S\u00e4ens), and Te Deum (Dvo\u0159\u00e1k).<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Beinlich earned her Master\u2019s and Doctoral degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Music Education from Western Michigan University. She served as Assistant Professor of Voice and the Vocal Area Coordinator at Eastern New Mexico University from 2017-2025 and has previously taught at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and the University of North Dakota. She has been a member of the instructional faculty of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp since 2014.<\/span><\/p>\n

While in New Mexico, she was on the board of the Vocal Artistry Art Song Festival of New Mexico, served as the Assistant Auditions Chair of the Texoma Region of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing), and also served as the District Membership Governor of the Rio Grande District of NATS. <\/span><\/p>\n

In 2025, Dr. Beinlich returned to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and has leapt with both feet into the musical culture of Marquette. She is currently on faculty in both the Department of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance at Northern Michigan University, has a growing private studio of singers (children-adults), and was the Music Director for the Superior Arts Youth Theatre production of The Little Mermaid<\/em>. Outside of academia and performance, Dr. Beinlich enjoys spending time in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, beating escape rooms, starting and not finishing arts and crafts projects, and working in animal rescue.<\/span><\/p>\n
